Hymns of Praise and Worship
I Call It Home
Somewhere beyond the grave there is a land,
Where Jesus went to prepare by His own hand;
And for the saved by grace there is a resting place,
And then a few more days, it will be mine.
Chorus:
Some call it heaven, I call it home.
Some call it dreaming, let me dream on;
Some call it paradise, somewhere beyond the skies,
Some call it heaven; I call it home!
Someone said you can't go back home again,
And things will never be as good as they've been;
I've got good news for you when heaven comes in to view,
One glimpse and you'll know the best is yet to come.
Some call it heaven, I call it home.
Some call it dreaming, let me dream on;
Some call it paradise, somewhere beyond the skies,
Some call it heaven; I call it home!

Royal Descendant
I can tell you I'm nothing, and I will be telling you the truth.
I can say I am worthless, a hopeless sinner that's true;
Oh, but that is just part of the story, I haven't told you everything;
I was lost, reborn and raised a child of the King!
Chorus:
And I'm a royal descendant of a King from Jerusalem,
I'm a part of the blood-line of David, that's who I am;
And I claim kinship to Isaac,k to Jacob, and Abraham;
I'm a royal descendant of a King from Jerusalem!
How in this world can I stand and say such a thing,
To say I am royal and to claim that my Father's a King?
I'll have to take you to an altar where happened many years ago;
I met this King, I was washed in His blood and that's all I know.

Tears Will Stop This Side of Heaven
Broken lives, broken hearts, filled with sorrow and pain.
Tears of grief that a smile cannot hide,
Don't despair, Jesus cares; there's a better life to come,
When we cross over Jordan's side.
Peace and joy will be there, God has promised in His Word.
In His presence we will ever abide;
Sorrow's past, home at last, all of life is made new
In the moment, in the twinkling of an eye.
Chorus:
Tears will stop just this side of heaven,
He said He'd wipe every tear from our eyes,
Tears will stop just this side of heaven,
And there'll be no more sorrow in sight.

I'd Rather Be An Old Time Christian
In this world I've tried most everything
And I'm happy now to say
There's nothing like religion
In the good old-fashioned way
I'm walking in this old-time way
And I want the world to know
That I'd rather be an old-time Christian,
Than anything I know.
There are many things I'd like to be
As my journey I pursue,
I have longed to be a leader
Like a mortal man would do;
I would like to be a millionaire
With a million to bestow,
But I'd rather be an old-time Christian, Lord
Than anything I know.
All the world is bright since I got right.
Now I sing and pray and shout.
All my burdens have lifted
Since the Saviour brought me out;
I will tell the world both far and near
As I travel here below,
That I'd rather be an old-time Christian, Lord
Than anything I know.
Chorus:
I'd rather be an old-time Christian, Lord
Than anything I know,
There's nothing like an old-time Christian
With a Christian love to show.
I'd walking in the grand old highway,
And I'm telling everywhere I go.
That I'd rather be an old-time Christian, Lord,
Than anything I know.

Rest Beyond
This is not my place of resting
Mine's a city yet to come;
Onward to it I am hasting,
On to my eternal home.
There the Lamb, our Shepherd, leads us,
By the streams of life along;
On the freshest pastures feeds us,
Turns our sighing in to song.
Soon we'll pass this desert dreary,
Soon we'll bid farewell to pain;
Never more be sad or weary,
Never, never sin again.
